How To Be Well Goes Rural

How To Be Well Goes Rural was an outreach initiative designed to bring connection, conversation, and mental health support to rural communities. Over the course of the trip, the HTBW team travelled across regional towns to host wellbeing workshops, share lived experiences, and foster open dialogue around mental health and community care.

HTBW GOES RURAL 2026

Coming This September 1st-24th

How To Be Well is going rural again in September 2026. In light of suicide prevention month, we will be heading to the rural towns in the Gascoyne, Kimberley, Pilbara, Midwest, and Wheatbelt area delivering workshops to the community.

The aim:

  • Increase mental health literacy across regional communities.

  • Reduce stigma around mental health conversations.

  • Promote early intervention and help-seeking behaviours.

  • Equip individuals with practical wellbeing tools and coping strategies.

  • Reach populations that may otherwise have limited access to wellbeing education.

  • Inspire hope through lived experience, evidence-based education, and community engagement.

Are you a school or community group interested in building mental health awareness/understanding?
